Mary Magdalene: Our Mission

Updated: Dec 18, 2020

"We are here for the singular purpose

of exposing and expanding the central core of God’s creation

which is the love we bear of ourselves and each other."

Ann: Hi Miriam, how are you? I have just been talking to Richard. He seems to get around. Are you the same?

Miriam: Absolutely. That old roué, never lost his charm, thank God. Oddly enough that sort of thing stays with us because it is so near our true nature, the part that lets us smile at ourselves and others and invite everyone in to sit before the fire of generosity and humour, sharing the warmth among good friends and fellow travelers.

Those are the moments, here and there, that I still treasure. You are blessed beyond measure in that connection – as is he.

Ann: Yes, I sometimes almost take it for granted. Not really, just enough not to freeze up with I’m with him.

Miriam: I understand. Interesting, isn’t it that some type of detachment is necessary for us to do this work, in your case to speak with me, with Jesus, Albert Einstein, Robert Kennedy, and the like. Otherwise, if we really thought about what we were doing, we would freak and freeze up.

Ann: Exactly. How do you know this?

Miriam: Ann, we were so love struck by Jesus that we would have been catatonic if he hadn’t shown us how mortal he was in his habits, his speech, his humour, and his attitudes. That allowed to be with him as companions, but we were not his equal. No one was. He had a depth of knowledge, but more importantly, understanding that left us speechless, often with a desire to simply crawl into his skin and leave our own behind.

But that was not what he asked. And that was not why we came. We had to find our own skin, the one we were given in that life. We had to find out who we were, who we were meant to be, and what road we were asked to follow.

Such questions are often asked repeatedly because many of us are not listening when the answer is whispered in our ears by circumstance, birth, or angels. It is hard to believe that we are important enough to have a mission - and sometimes hard to get past our resistance in relinquishing the illusory governance of our own affairs. But when we listen, if we let the blinders fall from our eyes, we will see our mission.

We follow each our own path. Mine followed in the way of Jesus. I was asked to refine the message, to teach, to learn, to carry on the mission I had been born for. It was not easy and, as you may know, many of my teachings were destroyed. Yet here I still am.

So my teaching for today, if I may be so bold, is to ask each of you to stand up as who you are. You will know if you will listen to your heart murmur when you are in your quiet time. You are unique. You are no more a follower than I was, for each of us leads when we claim our intended mission.

Thank you for allowing me this platform to send love and encouragement to all who come here. We walk together, the living and the dead, seen and unseen, for the singular purpose of exposing and expanding the central core of God’s creation which is the love we bear of ourselves and each other.

Take up this mantle, and you will find yourself smiling all the way to the bank.
