Lodestar*

Ann: Merlin?*** I have cast a circle to welcome you.
Merlin: Yes, thank you, Ann, for that beautiful invocation.
Indeed if we so choose, we can all live and move in such a protected space, a sacred circle. Not that such protection will necessarily bring to a halt the negative energies of the world, but that it will allow those who partake, those who breathe the air within that holy center, to retain the insight, strength, and confidence to proceed on their way with their faith in their highest purpose.
I ask that each of you work to make your lives a part of this circle or something similar. You can cast your own with a simple thought, an invocation, or an actual casting as I have mentioned here previously.**** It does not take talent or experience to do so. It simply takes a willingness to live according to the precepts of our highest inclinations.
Everyone has what is sometimes referred to as a Higher Self. I smile at the term because that implies that we are split into levels very much like one of your high rise buildings today. Such a paradigm is not really a comfortable fit with what is really going on though the term can be useful.
Instead, there is a universe within in our beings where our original molecules (so to speak) have been created by the Great Spirit with love, respect, and excitement. Other "molecules" are added later by the human ego which, because of its own transitory nature, cannot create anything of real and lasting significance.
Consequently, there is no such thing as a higher and lower self but instead realty and illusion. It is up to you to choose where you want to live, and that choice is ongoing. We never lose the opportunity to try again!
Although that perhaps makes it sound easy, I have lived long enough in more than one dimension to understand that separating the wheat from the chaff in the life of a human being is perhaps the most challenging task in the universe.
To assist with this, each person is granted an assortment of helpers, some obvious, some not as much, for angels come in many forms - the little child whose smile speaks to yours, the coincidences and odd ocurrences that comprise each life, seemingly happenstance circumstances but which, when looked at together, provide a compelling picture of the pattern of each individual path.
So I ask you to consider casting a circle for yourselves to live in. Be it formally cast or informally requested, the intention is all that is required. Then, once within that circle, use your discernment to separate truth from illusion. When you do so, you will see and follow the bright light of truth, for you will not be able to resist its staying power and attraction, its joy and radiance. Though you may fall by the wayside now and then, you will always return, for nothing will gainsay the blessed power of its homecoming.
Take that circle of light with you throughout your daily life, and, whether you confront trauma, tragedy, laughter, or connection, your center will remain steady because you will be connected to the creative force of the multiverse.
This is your lodestar, and once it is found, it will never be lost.
