Mister Rogers: A Contrasting View

Right after posting Richard's pitch for Bernie, I heard from Mister Rogers who thought that an addendum was in order.

Ann: Mister Rogers, I think I may have made a mistake by putting up Richard’s opinion on Bernie.

Mister Rogers. Yes, Ann, perhaps you did. It is never wise to get in the middle of a political disagreement because there are so many sides to so many questions.

I do not know whom I would vote for in this election, and many people may feel the same. I can say that in general I look for someone who is calm under pressure, whose word can be trusted, and who cares for the well-being of the people he or she serves.

Service I feel is the key. Judgement, intelligence, and experience are all important factors to bring to the job but a true understanding of what is needed to better the lives of those whose are touched by government, and everyone is foremost for me. But everyone has different criteria.

So, perhaps it would be better that your blog not be used to tout the abilities of one candidate over another. Here we join with others in the service of Spirit, and Spirit works for the betterment of all candidates and those they seek to serve. There are so many reasons that people vote as they do. So let us simply pray that Source guide the paths of all those who consider serving in as government officials and to help each of us see the others as a worthwhile human beings bringing the best that we have to these challenging times.

A: Thank you, Mister Rogers and amen. My apologies to all.

I very respectfully disagree with Mr. Rogers now is not the time to sensor any and all perspectives on the upcoming election it is vitally important to be informed and let's get real we are all going to vote for whoever the Dem's put up because Trump winning again is not an option and he has to go and I welcome anyone's opinion on who they like and prefer and their reasons why, an informed voter is a smart voter. Even though Mr. Rogers said he didn't know who he would vote for in this election his ideas on a proper candidate is spot on but we CAN'T let Trump win again so it comes down to voting Trump ou…

Please don't be tempted to censor. I am happy to have heard the support for Bernie's approach. We can decide for ourselves.

As I watch our country abandon our values, turn its back on our allies, etc. I have asked myself, how did this happen. For the past two decades I have been aware of the direction things were going. I have always voted, but have never been openly active In politics. Also, I allowed myself to be silenced by friends and neighbors who embraced the rhetoric and hatred of the right. I didn’t speak up. Now I realize democracy is a participatory sport. We can’t afford to be silent. We, especially those of us who are spiritually inclined must speak up for Truth and Justice. We can do this in a kind and loving way. Our fellow citizens who have embrace…

We're all adult enough to listen to someone, anyone, and then make up our minds for ourselves. What are you apologizing for? Do you really feel you need to do that?
