Archangel Haniel: Angel of Joy

Ann: I understand from Anita** that you asked to get in contact with me.

Archangel Haniel: Indeed I did. I see so many of you struggling to maintain your balance in these changing times. I come to bring you reminders of the words of that great mystic and seer Joseph Campbell, “Follow your bliss.’

This may seem like a ridiculous exhortation in times of stress where oppression and deselection hold attraction for many, but indeed these are wise words. Everyone has these secret or not so secret desire for the place, the work, the relationship that will bring unfettered joy to the soul. It is easier than you may think, my children. It may be as simple as the smile of a child whose care allows you to see the joy we were born with. It may be a garden where God’s grace allows a seed to germinate and bring beauty, love, and nourishment.

You must have access to this well of joy. It is yours by right, though many in hardship and turmoil have forgotten this great gift. The greatest of all is the recognition of our soul deep connection with Spirit.

Mantras may help you here. For some the Lord’s Prayer is a way in, for others the memory of a mother’s love or a moment of shared laughter with a friend, the hand offered by an ancestor spirit, Jesus, Miriam, White Feather and the like.

These are our lodestones in trying times, these are what will get us through. Start your day with a happy thought, the antics of a dog, sunlight through the blinds, the sound of a furnace offering heat and comfort to fragile bones and bodies. They are always there if you look for them, and, as this initial connection expands, more will be revealed to your understanding of your own mission, your own joy, and yes, the blessed work you came to this planet to accomplish.

You will find yourself in sync, and the day, with all its attendant frustrations, joys and sorrows, will take on a different hue in the light of this understanding.

Ask your angels to reveal themselves. With your permission they will find a way. I am Haniel, the Joyful Archangel.
