Laughter is holy. Look for it today.
Ann: Bobby?
Bobby: Yes, Ann. I am delighted to hear from you. Shall I tell you why?
Ann: Sure.
Bobby: Because you make me smile to see your ambivalence as you reach out for what you are not sure will be there, so that when someone answers, you are eternally amazed.
One would think that after all this time we would not be such a surprise to you, but so is a child eternally delighted in the flowers of spring.
What is it you want to know?
Ann: Were we friends?
Bobby: Oh yes, little children playing together with nary a thought in their minds but the delight and wonder of creation, imaginations free to branch off in a myriad of directions, exploration, discovery, delight. This is still here for us. Not just you and me but in every connection we make with each other and with Spirit.
I was sustained in my last life by the dancing connection with Spirit which is the basis of the interaction of those children and their explorations so long ago. Our Creator is an explorer also, and, when we let ourselves open to possibilities, we move in in concert with Spirit.
Laughter is holy. Look for it today. Give it to yourself and others as a precious gift originating in our holy connection with our Creator. Yes, there are serious matters going on in the world, never will I question that, but the opposite reality, the laughter of children, the delight created when your dog Lily sings the morning in is just as real.
It’s important to be well rounded (smiling) as I believe our parents taught us, for just as we remember our brother Dr. King on the recent anniversary of his death, so do we celebrate his energy, alive and well, coursing through our veins, moving us with his words, and offering us the love that allows us to laugh.
Keep the remembrance of the laughter shared with you today. It is just as real as everything else, even more so.
