Ann: Hello, Miriam, I get the feeling you are here with Jesus.

Miriam*: Yes, and we were with you yesterday on your porch with your friends. It was a blessed time, was it not? To bask in the light of true friendship creates holy space, and this each of you gave to the others.

Friendship is key now in this world of separation and division. Taking sides has become a national and even international sport.

Not too surprising as it was always thus. There were always those who wanted to tear down, who were threatened by anything they did not understand, who reacted with aggression first and no regrets later. They did what they had to do, they told themselves. And we said well, then we’ll do what we have to do. And we did.

But it was not preordained. We did not have to perpetuate the “sides.” Friendship can be offered over party lines, so to speak, and this is where the new world will begin. It is so easy to demonize without understanding when the simplest gesture could cross that barrier, not erase it, but raising even the slightest question is a really good start.

You and I were friends. You have deep in your soul the understanding of friendship as does almost anyone who takes the time to look for it. It is in almost everyone's karmic history. It is based in the unconditional love of Our Creator. It does not demand, it does not exhort, it allows for mistakes to be made, it grieves with us, and it celebrates with us. It does not seek to dominate, it provides support and vision, love and caring for the evolving soul that must walk its own path.

We are indeed blessed in our friends. We will be your friends if you will let us.
