I have been a little slow to respond to John....

John McCain: As ever was. Are you comfy now, Annie? Need another pillow, perhaps a cold drink? For God’s sake girl, stop putzing around and step up! We don’t have all day, you know.
Look around you. The planet is changing at an exponential rate and, as it has been from the beginning of time, the bad guys are trying to turn a profit. We have to provide a counter weight. Old Joe is running to beat the band to turn the tide,. I never thought I would see the old man take to the airways, roadways, and interviews the way he is doing, but he needs some help.
Don’t despair, he will get us there in the short run and leave enough in place in the long run for the rest of us to pick up and go on.
Now don’t get me wrong, we didn't always agree, but his policies, foreign and domestic, are is setting the planet up for a fighting chance against the rape, plunder, and poverty that follow in the wake of despots, oligarchs, corporate cannibals, and strong men of all stripes.
Never forget: Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Fat Ass is doing his best to show us how that is done and, pray God we are watching, listening, and learning what not to do. For his way lies darkness, and the more he opens his mouth, the more it is apparent.
It is time to galvanize every atom we can reach and imbue it with the fire of eternal knowledge. A people free have their own challenges, but nothing compared those who are subjugated, for then only violent overthrow remains an option. We need to cut the head off the beast now while we still can so that we remain a viable democracy.
I am here to say that I am encouraged. I am encouraged by Joe, his steadfast course and steady hand at the wheel. I am encouraged by the court system lurching its way toward truth and accountability as Ruth* said it would. I am encouraged by the increasing engagement of those of both parties who previously - and erroneously - assumed that our democracy was invulnerable
Pay no attention to the polls. Who do you think gains by all this sturm and drang? Instead, keep your eyes on the voting structures and systems. If these maintain their integrity, everything else will follow. Trust the system but make sure it is in top operating order, and this means watching your local officials like a hawk.
And then send out your light to everyone fighting for freedom in this country and abroad. When God set this system up, he gave us freedom, and now we are seeing how precious that is. If we are vigilant, we shall come out on the other side in good order.
It may take a while and more than a few battles, but we will get there because this time we have a woman’s revolution, thank heavens.
God, those assholes are stupid. Take away freedom from half the population and expect to rule the roost with no pushback? How stupid can you get?
The defeat of Roe and its progeny was a gift from a dying order to the next, for now with every slight, every attempt at confinement of women, minorities, and the disadvantaged, the pld guard reveals their true agenda: power at any price.
The fight for survival has so consumed my old colleagues that they have become unrecognizable idiots. Every step they take to hold back the tide of human rights is another nail in their coffins and a blueprint for the design of a restructured democracy where a minority cannot subjugate the rest. And don’t get me started on those who would risk our national security for their own gain and power....
What I want you to take away is this. They will lose . And to greater effect than the civil rights revolution in the ‘60’s. We are in the process of waking up. There will be more to come that reveals the soft underbelly of corruption and cowardice of those whose grasp on power is fading, and this is what will power our new revolution.
Keep in mind, my friends, the worse it gets, the better, for then our choices are clearer.
You are not alone in your fight. There are many of us on this side working to expose and dismantle the paper tiger of this Fascist** movement and the naked emperor who purports to lead them. He will be revealed as who he is and his house of cards will crumble.
And then we will see what we have learned.
