Live In The Present. Uh... Sure...

Updated: May 27, 2020

"Thin thin the moment is thin Ever so narrow the now Everybody say got to live in today Don't nobody know how..."

James Taylor, Jolly Springtime

Ann: Richard, would you be kind enough to help me with this rune throw and Crystal Card? I can't seem to get the knack of this living-in-the-present thing.

Richard: Of course. As you have already intuited, Kano in this reading is the ritualized connection of the living and the dead by holding the torch of the present moment. What is asked is complete fidelity to what is. Return as often as necessary to the present, to what is happening now, internally, externally, for our own psyche and for that of others. Ask for concentration. Ask for focus. Notice. Do not leave the present. The torch is the crystalized holding within a man-made fire of what has begun now, in the past and in the future.

I feel your low energy. You suffer the impact of the elemental truth hitting you dead center with undeniable accuracy. There is no happy ending, no pie in the sky. There is simply evolving past, present, and future all at once, and the concept is overwhelming, too big really, for comprehension by the human mind and psyche. So you are asked to concentrate only on the now.

Notice your heaviness, your sadness, your difficulty moving. Distinguish it from depression which can be chemical as much as anything else. This is different. This is existential, somehow it seems as if you are being asked to solve universal problems all within your own being. While this is true in some respects, that is, if each of us took it upon ourselves to do as Jesus asked, much could be resolved on a permanent basis. But this is not your particular task. Yours is today, now, this moment, and this moment only.

Now, take the torch rune to your forehead, ask that it be given to you today to do, to be what is asked of you in the moment. If heavy stillness is the attuned experience, feel it. Do not run. We must understand what heads us off from the main path, and discomfort is a primary diverter for you. Stay with it. Ask for light and understanding. You have the torch, use it. Each of us does if we will take hold. Carry it with you to illuminate that which darkens and puts your defense system in overdrive. Take Kano with you today, hold it in your hand, remember Auralite’s entreaty to be present and nothing else. Do not ask for change or indeed anything else. Here, this day of mindfulness is yours to explore. I will go with you if you like. You know I love a little road trip.

This is exactly the same message that came through as I was doing my morning meditation. That is to stay on the path is to keep coming back to now. The now moment. Sounds so simple but with all of the distractions that are thrown at us daily, including increasing levels of auditory pollution, it's not always easy to remember to go back to now. ✌ I will make a conscious effort to do so.👍 Even if I have to remind myself a hundred times a day.👏 Thank you Richard and Ann. 🙏💜🙏
