Mary Magdalene: Coming Out Of Trauma

When confronted by unaccustomed choices and opportunities,

just wait.

Ann: Hi Miriam,* you rang?

Miriam: Indeed I did, Ann, wanting to touch base with all of you in this time of transition. Sometimes coming out of trauma is filled with as many pitfalls as the trauma itself, sometimes more so. When light reappears, we are sometimes so flabbergasted by its presence that we cannot focus or find our direction.

Now with the spectre of the pandemic lifting or if those coming out of other traumas, choices may be expanding but filters are perhaps not yet back in place – if in fact they were operational before.

The thing about trauma is that it wonderfully focuses the mind. Then when it is gone, we may feel oddly at sea.

Ann: Miriam, my mind keeps jumping back and forth between what you are saying and something else I am doing. For the ADD among us, maybe for all of us, how do we choose?

Miriam: I was just getting to that. You are without a doubt a case in point, content in your isolation with slow moving channels coming in politely one at a time. Now the atmosphere has changed, not just the pandemic restrictions lifting, but a change in the atmosphere that is affecting everything we do the world over, and it is sometimes hard to know where to jump first, or in your case, which spirit to give precedence when several are knocking at the door.

There is a bit of a chicken and egg situation here, isn’t there? Did the universal, mutiversal atmosphere, the astrological and spiritual currents provide space for the previous darkness to grow, to unleash oppressive regimes, climate disasters, and worldwide illness, or did these events create that atmosphere?

Similarly, when there is a lifting of that heaviness, which came first? Are we riders or drivers? Do we just try to follow or do we take up arms and try to effect a change?

In that long ago lifetime that you reference by the use of my name, I turned, as you may want to do now, to friends, friends of the heart, both on the planet and elsewhere, tried and true companions with whom you can share the concerns of your soul.

I came to see that Jesus was not dead, nor was I, that my heart could reach out to my boon companions who struggled as I did as well as those “imaginary friends” whose reality was beyond discussion as I saw them traverse the bounds of life, death, and beyond.

These friends help us to see the choices before us now as precious gifts not to be squandered in flustered indecision. Natural gravitation, the gravity of the soul, provides gravitas and nurture in one package. I am not talking about the impulse to immediate gratification, but the waiting, the winnowing out of competing options, requests, and yes, demands, until one can clearly see the natural order of go.

So I counsel you when confronted by unaccustomed choices and opportunities, just wait. Let them sift out until your vision clears.

You who so love the quick dive into one project or another just to alleviate the tension of indecision might want to consider holding off just a bit before you jump into one set of free flowing ideas to the exclusion of others. Write them down, note your options, listen carefully, and you then will know what feeds you and your purpose at this time of your life.

Move quietly into what feels right or jump in with both feet and a cowboy yell that will heard throughout the cosmos. Then rest assured that all will join in to celebrate the new day dawning with those who move with you into a gathering and auspicious light.

We work all together for good, and the light expands for all of us.
