Ann: Hi Miriam,** you rang?
Miriam: Yes, this is a time for old friends to connect. Old friends are friends of the heart who go back in time and space, sometimes years, sometime lifetimes, and sometimes galaxies.
You and I were working friends on more than one occasion, hands rough, backs hurting, memories stretched to take in what had happened in previous connections and what is happening now.
I ask each of you to think of one or more of your old friends. Friends who know your history, who don’t expect you to be anything other than what you have become, friends whose thoughts can traverse time and space sometimes without a word spoken and only the language of the heart in play.
Once you have these friends in mind, think of someone else who resonates with you, maybe in this lifetime, maybe not an obvious friend but someone you feel you have or could have known, perhaps a spiritual being, perhaps an historical figure, perhaps a magical or mythological being. These last have reality if we allow them room in our minds. If they come to you often, invite them in for tea and see what transpires.
Perhaps you are drawn to a particular culture or a particular time in history in this world or the next? Where do you feel comfortable? Are you drawn to Islamic arts and literature? Does the Scottish brogue sing to you? Have you met someone in this life or previous times whose life story seemed to walk along with yours?
These are old friends, and they come to you for conversation and camaraderie. Let your mind expand, do not limit it by what you consider rational. Let your energy soar and see whom you bring home with you.
Write it down if that helps. Play music that connects if that is where the resonance sings. Immerse yourself in those places and cultures which draw you. Learn their language, read their poetry, become familiar with their customs. And then once again, invite your old friends in.
We will be pleased to accept, and you will find yourself enriched by our companionship. We are here for you if you want to make the connection.
