Merlin On Power

 I have been struggling with the concept of power amid the many abuses being exposed by those who supposedly hold it as stewards but instead distort it for their own corrupt purposes. So I asked.

Ann: Would one of you speak to me about power?

Merlin: Power takes many forms as you have indicated. We feel strong in its presence and weak if it is lacking. Yet these are but the surface manifestations of power. Now we must go deeper to find the gold beneath the excrement of the tyrant. Nothing less will do.

We are seeing the trappings of power trample people and civilizations into that dust while those who wield the sword see this destruction as the essence of power. And yet such power is stolen and will not hold in the face of the deeper way, the way of perseverance, vision, clarity, and joy.  The illusion that dominance brings control pales in this presence.

This is not surprising because false power always crumbles before authentic force, i.e., the mighty column of energy granted to those on the planet willing to access the energy arising from its deepest center to the heavens and beyond, beginning without end. This is power that will stand against the most relentless assault. 

It lives in each of you.  Take your courage in hand, receive the energy rising up from the center of the planet into your essence. Let it flower through your experiences rising over trees into the sunlight, then shooting out into the darkness and past the stars.  This is who you are, part of the continuum of divine creation completely invulnerable to mortal assault.

Though you may feel yourself powerless through loss, hunger, and pain, yet your heart is full when you touch Mother Earth and feel that continuum vibrating within you. This is what will move you safely into the next World.
