Nostradamus: 2026

Ann: Nostradamus, is that you?

Nostradamus: Yes.  I return to place the emphasis on the similarities of the passage of time.

Since the beginning of all civilization, mankind has suffered turbulence, trauma, and betrayal at the hands of those enshrined to the patriarchal system of infallibility in the ruler and ruling class.

The year past has seem dramatic efforts to reassert the rules of that sphere, and there was fertile ground for a massive effort that continues today. And yet cracks in the foundation begin to be revealed, and the contrived structure will not hold against foundational rot.

I have been revered through the years and also ridiculed for my gift of sight, sometimes opaque even to my eyes, but the overall projection, thought agonizing and pedantic, has favored the ascension of the many over the treasonous.

The Year of our Lord 2025 has been a seminal year.  A last desperate effort to reassert the paternalistic power of the few to visit destruction and terror on the many. And yet, complete desecration has not ensued.

I offer the following for those navigating the Year of our Lord 2026:

The Worm: Life succumbs to death and death succumbs to the worm. Even in life the worm will insinuate itself into stone facades built upon rotten footings which then succumb to fetid marshes.

Keep your eyes on these foundations as they slowly sink into the rancid mud and then raise your eyes to those who have been given the guardian role. They will lead a new army of light, first a small flicker, then a visible flame.

Not all will withstand the journey, but eventually new spouts will grow on the remains of a poisonous hierarchy.

The Falcon: The Falcon is a bird of prey.  It takes nourishment from the abundance of forest and field, yet it does not destroy the population. It flies free and strong, it’s fierceness tempered by restraint, and it does not kill at will.

Those who now consider themselves Falcons will be revealed instead as Condors, those who feed on the bodies of the dead or near dead destroyed en mass for the engorgement of the defiled.

Look to Falcon for grace, courage, and long-range vision. Let the Condor die from neglect.

The Open Door:  Now will the talents of the many be released. Now the Need for More will be defeated in favor of Community and Divine Creation. A gradual dawning of understanding will open the door to the vision of a new reality arising from the ashes of the old system.

The Locked Door: The sun itself shall lead the revolution, the evolution from dark to light taking place ever so slowly in the dawning world until at the end of the century the door to the past will be locked, and the evil that sustained it finally starved of all nourishment.
