Justice Ginsburg: Yes, Ann, not to take up too much of your time, but there are important messages from Spirit for all of you which I have been privileged to transmit in the persona of my most recent incarnation. And yes, as you have indicated, I have put my transition on hold to do this work, for it is a continuation and completion of what I left undone on the planet. But that is a conversation for another day.
First, I wish to say the current composition, with one or two exceptions, of the Supreme Court, particularly in light of the new additions, is the right court for these times. They are grounded in conservative ideology and therefore have the credibility to combat the waves of so-called conservative unrest and deception sweeping the country and threatening our government and the principles upon which it was founded.
The tide is coming in, the curtain is falling on a way of life, a structuring of our society that has outgrown its relevance. I am not, of course, suggesting that the hooligans who tried to take the Capitol are the advance guard of that tide, but they do provide a clear indication that we must change our current structures and operations if we are to survive intact as a democratic society.
The legal bases of our government are the twin pillars of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. These must now be brought into the new age and interpreted to serve their true purpose.

It will be a challenge for these so called strict constructionists to see their way clear to these new interpretations, but they have the legal standards in the 14th Amendment** regarding the equal protection of the laws to guide them.
No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
Now is the time for these strict constructionists to uphold the plain meaning of this statute and keep our legal system’s feet to the fire. Equal protection under the law must be construed to mean and provide exactly that.
The recent events at the Capitol have created a mile wide chasm between the equal protection afforded the Founding Fathers, i.e., the European white men of our society and their progeny, and everybody else. Merrick Garland as Attorney General of the Justice Department we have a clear eyed strict constructionist in the new mold who will finally interpret these words to say what they mean, mean what they say, and be enforced unilaterally in each and every situation.
Exposure is good for the soul – but even better for the country we are trying to rebuild on old precepts imperfectly designed and preferentially implemented. Keep your eyes, minds, and hearts attuned to these words, equal protection of the laws, and move heaven and earth in your own lives to realize the words as the living precepts and rallying cry of a newly formed nation.
I know that you want to ask me about our nearly departing President and his fate at the hands of his retreating government. I say to you that it does not matter in the short run he has left to rule. He will meet his fate, if not on the streets of this country, then in the courts over an extended period of time. He will never again hold such power to affect the distortion of the fundamental principles on which this nation was built. His downfall may be slower than you desire, but it will be thorough.
It is for us now to focus on rebuilding our country from the ground up. The past – and whatever hell it raises in the next week - will take care of itself.
