Ruth Bader Ginsburg: Power

Ruth Bader Ginsburg's assertion that the courts would save us along the conviction of myself and others that Kamala Harris would win the election rather shook my faith in my channeling. However, today I seem to have heard from Her Honor herself.

Ann: Justice Ginsburg?

Justice Ginsburg: Yes I’ve been trying to get your attention and can see that you are of two minds about talking to me.

Ann: Well, you did say that the courts would save us, and by that I thought you were referring to the Supreme Court, so I was kind of doubting not only you but me and the accuracy of my channeling so it is interesting to have you breakthrough when I have kind of put my channeling chops off to the side.  Not quitting exactly but not working very hard either.

Justice Ginsburg: Yes, well, I never could abide a quitter, but I have come to realize that reining in one’s ambitions, that cutting one’s coat to suit one’s cloth has something to recommend it. I am glad you have come back to talk to me because there is something I wish to add after I have had a little time to digest, not only my words to you, but my many words and actions while living.

I was always ambitious and driven and wore blinders from the time I was very small. It was very hard to turn me from my intended path, and in hindsight I can see that I should have left the Court sooner. Perhaps the great conflagration that we are watching now unfold can in some respects be ascribed to the dominoes falling from that single decision.

On the other hand a full reset may it be what the world needs to cleanse itself of the tyrants and money lenders that stride through the halls of power without consequence or accounting, but it gives me no pleasure to see the part I played in this course of events.

And, yes, I’m aware that I was only one of many that made the dissolution of our republic all too real a possibility. For too long too many people have relied upon their leaders in all branches of government to take care of things so that they could go back the business of living. I never minded that because I really didn’t want the interference of popular opinion, but the hue and cry after my death has been impossible to ignore

It does seem self-serving to say this was what needed to happen so that all could be rebuilt upon a firmer foundation, but such is the case. And it is the courts, even that sorry excuse for what is supposed to be is the highest court in the land, that will finally begin to draw the lines necessary to help us regenerate a more perfect union.

Ann: Do you think that there will ever come a time when the human animal will not be governed by fear, greed, and the need for control?

Justice Ginsburg: Ann, life on this planet comes with these attributes, not only of humans but of every living species, because survival has been dependent upon power, and power when absolute, does in fact corrupt absolutely. We are watching what happens when absolute power is taken to its natural conclusion And, yet, as fragile as they may be, the laws of this country and the Constitution upon which they stand can hold back the tide and allow the higher vibrations of mankind to prevail.

Of course, it is just as possible that complete destruction could ensue, but I do not believe that will be the case. Already many of the courts in the land, including some interesting factions on the Supreme Court itself, have had enough. As we see more clearly the depths to which unrestrained presidential power can sink, the pressure for more thoughtfully constructed guardrails will increase.

Keep your eyes on the solution not the problem, and we will find our way home. Not a return to the old so easily corruptible system, but a reimagining of a foundation upon which the divine purposes for which we were created can be established.

It will be a fight, but it is a fight we must fight and one we can win.
