Edgar Cayce: Gentle Wisdom For All Of Us

Updated: Oct 13, 2020

I woke in the middle of the night hearing Edgar Cayce's name. I woke again and could not remember whose name I heard. Then I woke for the third time with his voice pushing into my consciousness. He offers a gift for all of us.

Ann: Mr. Cayce?

Edgar Cayce: Yes, Ann, I have come because you and many of those who reach these words through you have come face to face with intense vibrations which are upending your days. The chaotic entropy* in world events, in work, organisms and systems have kept you on edge, not always obviously anxious but still wary, waiting for the next shoe to drop. You wait, and you are fearful.

As you may know, I lived my life in a very simple fashion. I was not an educated or sophisticated person, yet I channeled those whose knowledge was vast.

I felt deeply my responsibility to these who sought my help, and I pushed myself to respond beyond the limits of my physical system. I do not regret this. My gift was meant to be used.

Here on this side I have reverted to the more complex being made up of many component parts from various walks of life both on the earth and elsewhere. I can see my choices in the life of myself as Edgar Cayce and feel now that I did the best with what I was given. Though I made mistakes, they were not such as to derail my central purpose.

And that purpose was, as it is today, the education of the human race as to the workings of the body so as to optimize the receipt of spiritual teachings. Those teachings are many and varied, but the central premise in each is that, if can leave ourselves alone, offer our bodies only that which they request, our vision will clear and expand so that these messages can be received by all who desire to do so.

To that end, I want to remind you that we are composed primarily of water and light. To the extent we can adjust our diet and activities to receive these elements to the reduction of all else, we will improve our health and our sense of wellbeing in the world.

When you imbibe meat, starches, alcohol, and the like, you become more dense, your bodies become heavy and your perimeters more opaque. I am not suggesting that you let go all of your boundaries, for that is what allows you to function in this world. I am, however, suggesting that you angle yourself in a more upward direction, both in your gaze, in your life activities, and in your prayer.

With the lighter, more liquid diet, the focus on light rather than dark, you will facilitate the receipt that you have requested, i.e., the knowledge of your particular purpose on this planet.

What you seek is right before your eyes, but you have allowed the static of your political parties, the poverty of lack in both material and spiritual realms to become all that you can recognize.

There is another alternative. If you can allow yourself to proceed with a gentle regimen allowing your body to carry itself more lightly, you will find your vision expanded and your psyche and soul comforted and grounded by a wider view of reality.

And that reality is that of the gently created cosmos where explosion is always in the service of expanding awareness and consciousness, where strife among humans becomes unnecessary in the light of this knowledge, and we become able to face as one the changing landscape of our exterior and interior worlds.

This may not be easy at the outset, but the rewards are profound. When the inner connection with God is activated and made conscious, all else falls away, and you will find yourselves almost preternaturally efficient and effective as you see with detachment the ongoing course of personal and world events and your roles therein.

Then you will be seeing reality and can rejoice that you should be a part of its expanding majesty. You have nothing to fear.

I had never heard the term "chaotic entropy" so I looked it up after I got this reading. Apparently it is a thing, that is: "Essentially, the basic tenents of chaos theory that relate to entropy is the idea that the system leans towards "disorder", i.e. something that is unpredictable..." Truang-Son N.. "How does entropy relate to chaos theory?" Mar. 2, 2016
