Jesus: Finding Your Purpose
Jesus: Ann, I am delighted to be with you at this time of opening and growth – not untouched by pain because it always is – but tinged, as always, with the colours of undying faith in the goodness of creation and the truth of our existence expanding the love with which we were created. This is the foundation of every life's purpose.
You, each of you, have a purpose all of your own - perhaps more than one - which may reveal itself to you day by day or sometimes in a blinding flash. Some souls come with the knowledge inborn, but most of us travel blind. Even I, whose course you may have thought was set from inception, traveled in darkness on many days. I stumbled, fell, then picked up the pieces, and carried on, and this is what I ask of you.
You do not need to be heroes impervious to the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune - or, what is sometimes worse, the nitpicky aggravations of ordinary life that can wear down even the strongest rock. Instead, you are asked to listen, as Miriam has implored you to do via the last post, to listen on a level so deep that it may not appear that you are receiving anything at all.
Nevertheless, fertile ground is being prepared for the subterranean changes that are taking place in your innermost being, changes that build and will reveal themselves when the time is right, ready and available for excavation or epiphany depending upon circumstances.
Look back over your life. Can you see themes, repetitions, familiar lessons in joy and hardship? You are not asked to grab a sword and go all out for God. You are asked to notice where you are, where you have been, and what choices lie before you.
Some “choices” seem to have their way with very little input from your side of the equation. And yet even then, you can choose to listen to or block the gentle voices that are always there to help you understand why you are where you are, to help you claim the joy that comes from your life in accepting what you have been shown, and to help you open yourself to the discoveries of what is to come.
I encourage each and every one of you to make yourselves available to your guides and angels, for you have a cadre of support and encouragement at your fingertips so to speak. You may find fellow travelers who form a council around you, a clan of sorts to which you can return again and again for consort, renewal, and direction.
Let them in, my children. Do not stand on ceremony or precept while your brain says this could not possibly be happening. What harm could there be in a get-acquainted get-together, a meet and greet where you exchange stories, swap lies and life experiences, and ask the questions that burn in your soul?
Do not be surprised if, in these exchanges, you find the gradual revelation of why you came to this planet and what you in this particular life can do to fulfill your unique purpose.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Matthew 7: 7-8*
What you receive may puzzle or surprise you because your life is changing in ways not previously anticipated. As has been said many times, "When man plans, God laughs." Not in a mean way but because Spirit is delighted to see that, even with such a small sliver of vision, we try to make sense of our lives and our direction. And with that laughter, Spirit joins with you in expanding the receptors that allow your knowledge of your helpers and their messages to be received and grow.
Believe it or not, you will have an enjoyable time in the process, for the harbingers of Spirit are filled with joy, and you will be also when you bask in the combined light of their presence and your own.
