Jesus: Teach Me To Serve

Updated: Mar 20, 2022

From one gift there is much light.

Ann: Jesus, will you teach me to serve?

Jesus: Good morning, Ann, or should I say good afternoon? In any case you have come upon an awakening with which you can travel in joy for the balance of your sojourn on the planet, for this is the root question, the one that will lead you home.

From one gift there is much light, and service is the one unifying purpose in the cosmos, the one thing that causes many differentiated energies to pull together. We serve, not at the pleasure of the king, but for the pleasure of our Creator and ourselves in honor of the Divine Spark within our souls. And when we feel that essence shine, shimmer, and evolve, we wish for no other existence, for that is the joy beyond all joys.

Humans have tried over the eons to create their own joy apart from their Creator, and always it has been a fruitless task, but still we continue to push that Sisyphean* boulder up the hill only to have it crush us as it rolls back down.

Each of us carries, along with our unique Divine Spark, the seeds of this type of power hungry darkness. From the power hungry autocrat whose insatiable appetite for control drives him to every more horrific acts to the everyday addict whose hunger for the desired substance reduces all else in his life to rubble, there are only differences in the degree unless we can invite the light in.

This we do when we choose to serve rather that to try to feed a hunger that will never be satisfied.

I ask each of you to return in your meditation, in your mantras, and in each awakened moment to the simple affirmation, “I choose to serve.”

It is this that will carry you through every dark encounter no matter how debilitating.

It is this that unites your essence with that of your Creator and with all who have discovered this great truth and followed it to their graves and beyond, for “heaven and earth shall fall away when [Spirit] comes to reign.”**

For when you make this choice, you discover that there is no such thing as mortality, that a commitment to service survives death to blossom into understanding and evolution where all strive to expand the light, soul by soul by soul.

And then the transitions between worlds are seamless, and death has no sting.
