Ann: Hi Jesus.
Jesus: Well hello, Ann, and to everyone reading these words.
First I want to let you know that you are doing fine. Everyone has their own rhythmic path to expansion and light. There is a pulse in everyone's life though rhythms are different, first a pushing outward, then pause, retreat, assimilation, then moving outward again. It is not a straight line so you do not have to feel guilty for not being in touch every minute of every day. I know your heart, and it is pushing forward relentlessly within this rhythmic push and pull.
You were struck by my words to Anita, which I want to clarify here. The death of the ego is an interesting thing. As you move closer to spirit, to your time of transition, your ego takes a back seat, gradually winding down until at transition it is no longer needed. In preparation there are often moments, sometimes even longer stretches, where the ego is not present at all, and those are the times of ecstasy, the times you feel yourself as one with the Creative Spirit.
Your joy in these moments is unbounded, and then you return to the workaday world where your ego steps up and creates for you the boundaries you need to function in your body and on your planet to hold you steady in that environment. In the optimal case the ego provides a ballast in this world of heavy atmosphere and untoward occurrences while Spirit keeps our focus inward and outward at the same time.
If the ego gets out of hand as it often does, you start to think you are running the show, that you must be in control, that you are responsible, that you have a prescribed plan to which you must adhere or fail entirely in your purpose on the planet.
(Smiling) Sound familiar? These are the signs of the ego taking over. You will know when the ego does not surrender to the creative pulse within your life, when you start to think that your standards, not the ones of your Creator, are the ones you must live up to.
When you feel yourself out of balance in this fashion, return to your spiritual practices whatever they may be, those which bring you into alignment with the expanding light in the universe.
And it is expanding. You have only to breathe with it, to inhale is radiance and exhale its resilience to give yourself over to the Divine energy once again. Do not think you have failed when your center goes out of balance, for these occurrences are our great teachers.
I too was not immune as I think you can see when you read the various accounts of my sojourn on the planet. The many years in which I traveled and studied which have been less chronicled were a process much like the one described here, and that did not change all the way through my crucifixion and resurrection. It was only at the end that my ego died its final death when it was no longer needed for my own education and protection.
Try to notice these swings. As you do so, you will catch yourself more quickly, usually with a smile, as you start to float out of bounds in order to try to put yourself “in charge.” The world is not under your control, but when you permit your ego to join forces with Spirit, you find that joy and power can bloom regardless of circumstance.
Hard to believe, I know, when all is falling to pieces around you, but so it is when you can hold that balance. Simply do your best. Angels can do no more.
