"Now we have to raise the bar."
Ann: Hi John, it is such a privilege to be able to speak with you. I am sure I would have been completely intimidated if I met you while living, but now it's totally comfortable. Wonder why that is?
John: Why you would have been intimidated? No one was unless I wanted them to be which wasn’t very often. And as to why we speak so easily together here, it’s kind of a safe space. You can say anything you want because no one is listening, and I can too, so it allows for a freewheeling conversation.
Plus which, when we speak with people who have passed, there is really no way to prevaricate, dissemble, or posture – all three of which our current administration has turned into an evil art form thereby injecting poison into our entire system of government. But death demands honesty, and eventually both will prevail, so we might as well start now.
We have been immersed in lies and corruption, but things will start to come right now, you will see. This new government knows the ropes and the importance of righting the ship, and they will hit the ground running. Don’t underestimate Joe Biden. He is an efficient son of a bitch, and, for all his “aw shucks persona,” he doesn’t suffer fools or incompetents on his team.
Ann: John, even if he does get us heading back in the right direction, what around the 72 million people that voted for him and supposedly believe just about everything he says? He has made us doubt ourselves, our government, and our ability to detect the truth.
John: Well, Annie, that’s not such a bad thing. Trump wasn’t the only one telling lies. Every government since God was a boy has been lying to its people. It's just that this one was so egregious –and stupid - that it got caught out every hour of everyday.
Now we have to raise the bar. Joe won’t be able to get away with lies of any sort. Oh, he won’t have to divulge sensitive security information, but, other than that, he will get no free ride. We will watching him like hawks – and by hawks, I mean the media who have much in common with that predator and whose skills are sharpened and whose talons are out ready to grab any hint of cover up or gas lighting.
As for those 72 million, even now their liars are failing them, dropping by the wayside as buffoons and cheats, and, yes, I mean you Lindsey, my erstwhile friend who has so lost his way that he couldn’t find it with both hands and a flashlight so dark is the dungeon of his own making in which he resides.
Ann: Tell us what you really think, John.
John: Well, gosh darn it, that little sh-- has squandered everything I taught him just so he can be on top, and there is no way that it's gonna work well out for him. Breaks my heart.
But enough of that, we need to concentrate on the living, and by that I mean each living person who commits themselves to a truthful life in which they take every opportunity to make someone else’s life a better place. This is how we dig out of the big hole that His Fustiness has dug for us.
We’ve got a chance now, don’t waste it, my friends, for it may not come again anytime soon.
