John McCain: Staying In The Light

Ann: Hi John, long time no speak.

Senator McCain: Damn right, Annie, we gotta fix that, can’t be sittin’ around while Rome is burning. Not that I mean that literally - although Ukraine is a case in point. We were not vigilant. We let our guard down while the Fat Asshole sold our country down the river.

Having said that, it’s becoming clear that some type of conflagration, dear in terms of suffering and revelation, was going to be required to reveal the essence of what this world - and our country in particular - are dealing with. And now we can see without a shadow of a doubt that, for those in my former party, democracy is just a frill when compared to the power of their hifalutin’ minority.

You asked this morning for help staying in the light and, lo and behold, you were referred to me.* Not that I was all sweetness and light when I was on the planet, but my eyes were opened by life events, and I came to understand darkness, not just once in the Hanoi Hilton, but other times when that darkness would come back on me and threaten my faith, my family, and my soul.

I learned then to recognize it for what it is, a malignant trickster, an illusion that uses violence, power, brutality, and intimidation to try to strip away every remnant of our soul-deep knowledge that we are loved, that this world is an experiment, that each and every one of us is called to account for how we answered that call, whether we stood firm or not, whether we chose to knuckle under or give that ole fraudster a kick in the pants and send him back to where he came from.

Each event that calls us to darkness also calls us to light. The more it rips at our guts the more light is trying to get through. It takes courage to stand up and proclaim that we are worthwhile, that our Creator did not make a mistake when he sent us down here to make the world a better place.

You may not be on the front lines in Ukraine, but you are on the front lines in your own life. You have help (witness yours truly arriving at the drop of a hat) from multiple energies that seek your well-being.

Everyone has angels and guides. I would not have survived my life without them. Spend the time get to know yours, yell to the heavens when you’re drowning and let them help them give you a hand up.

Fight off the darkness in every way possible. Fight for yourselves and for those in Ukraine and any place where tyranny is making a play for power. Find the light, cleave to it, and don’t look back.

We're not gonna lose this fight, not in Ukraine and not in this country, if every light worker stands firm and holds the line.
