The laws that were channeled to me and transcribed on stone tablets were full of truth and light,
but the understanding of their application has evolved.
Ann: Moses? I understand from Anita* that you have something for the blog.
Moses: Yes, Ann, I do. I contacted Anita because your lines have been somewhat blurred. I believe I can help you with that so please check in later.
For today I want to speak as the giver and receiver of laws. The laws that I received were intended to help govern the human temperament which is too easily led astray by its own ambitions and desires. Not much has changed since my day except that, with the advent of globally transmitted information, both truth and falsehood can travel at warp speech such that it is often difficult to tell the difference.
With information being flung at you from every corner of the globe, who do you trust, what do you believe? Though it may be hard to fathom, I had a similar problem as I was constantly torn between my own ego and my divine mission. Let me tell you, it’s pretty heady to be the chosen one of God and come down from the mount with laws for eternity inscribed in stone!
It would have been a wonder if my head wasn’t turned, and indeed it was.
(Phone rings, I hit pause.)
Ann: Sorry about that interruption, where were we?
Moses: I was holding forth on the perils of the ego even when acting on the side of Spirit in the course of history, you needed to catch up with a friend, and so we each are shown that spirit does not faint at minor inconveniences.
But back to the topic at hand which, though I don’t think I had arrived there, was the function and purpose of laws and the difficulties in prosecuting them in a fair and balanced manner when truth itself has become a fluid commodity.
But so it is, and this has become the primary challenge of your world, a world in which such laws have an outsize significance and must adapt, not to a changing truth, but to a reality where truth needs followers of character, gravitas, and evolving consciousness, for the messenger has become the message as was always the case to some extent but more so now when, “The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity.”**
This is when we must put our blind faith in the laws of our forefathers, those which brought out the best in us while redirecting or, if necessary, restraining the worst. These are the laws of god and man which will carry us through when we are lost in the tide of change currently sweeping through the planet.
Ann: Moses, Some of those laws were horrific, made second class citizens if not slaves of women, certain races, those with different sexual orientations etc. Surely you do not recommend bringing us back to that?
Moses: Not at all. The laws that were channeled to me and transcribed on stone tablets were full of truth and light, but the understanding of their application has evolved. Look at these laws as they apply today and be sure to add your own evolving wisdom:
You shall have no other Gods before me. Spirit is the one creating and connecting force.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven images. Not money, not power, not conquest nor the illusion of racial or sexual superiority.
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain. Words have power, written, spoken, sung, or however transmitted, the name of the Holy Spirit is sacred and powerful and must be invoked only for the furtherance of the original and loving creative purpose.
Remember the Sabbath day and keep it Holy. Take time for Spirit. Find solitude and use it to receive and honor your Creator.
Honor your father and mother. They gave you life, and life is sacred.
Thou shalt not kill. Life is a sacred gift and as such must be valued above all else.
Thou shalt not commit adultery. Let no man or woman whom God has joined together be put asunder.
Thou shalt not steal. Your gifts are your own and sufficient unto themselves. Respect and utilize them as such and look internally for the nourishment of your body and soul.
Thou shall not bear false witness. And here we have it, the kernel that knits the whole together. Allow nothing but truth to come through you.
Thou shalt not covet. You can only live one life at a time. Tend to your own and leave others to do the same.
Ann: A couple of questions?
Moses: Of course.
Ann: Abortion? Is that killing? How about self-chosen euthanasia of the old or infirm?
Moses: Ah. You wish clarification of the issues of your day.
Ann: Yeah. If these are the laws we should look to, we need to understand what they mean.
Moses: And so you shall. A soul reaches the planet because of its own choices, its own mission, and its own multi-generational journey. When it makes it here, its journey may be complete in its early demise as part of the contract that was made with Spirit from the outset.
Abortion is not necessarily the killing of a soul. It can be the completing of a plan for that soul and others involved in that choice. There are many ripples to each decision and attunement is the key. Suffice it to say, when all are in compliance, abortion is not against the spirit of the law.
As to the chosen early exit of those who suffer or anticipate suffering, choice again is individual and can be attuned or not depending upon circumstances. Is suffering the chosen path of the soul? Or is compassion for that soul the lesson it has incarnated to learn?
The decision cannot be made analytically without input from our spiritual guides and masters. We learn as we grow and listen. What we do not do is kill willy nilly for our own personal gain be it physical, emotional or political. This is implicit in this commandment as it is in each and every one. Nothing is black and white but these are the starting points and hold absent extenuating circumstances.
We need a lodestar, and these laws and those that expand our reach and understanding are what guide us in turbulent times. It is not easy. The spiritual life is not easy, and no black and white rules will suffice, for without attunement, compassion, and love, they become the tools of oppression.
However, with consideration, prayer, and understanding, they become the means of moving our societies forward into balanced and self-governing communities. As such, these laws are worthy of our respect and devotion even as they evolve within our own expanding consciousness.

Wow Anne, I really love the additional clarity on the Ten Commandments from Moses. Your additional two questions — is it my understanding that our interpretation of “when life begins” in the fetus is not quite in sync with the soul purpose of the unborn soul? My guess is that with as many differing religious interpretations, there are very few that would give the unborn soul a voice In the process. This would entail a strong belief in reincarnation- ( just my thoughts aloud).
Definitely a wonderful communication with Moses!
Blessings and great health to you Anne ❤️🙏
As I know the man called Moses lived a very long time ago, this energy, this spirit brings a powerful message now and one that resonates within the seat of my soul. Thank you Ann and Moses for brining us this message.
