An Energizer Bunny I am not....
Ann: Hi Richard, I don’t feel like doing much. It’s been pretty intense, and now I just feel like sitting down and not thinking about the state of the world or anything much but feeding the dogs, going to the grocery, doing the laundry, and reading a novel I know will come out ok.
Richard: And an excellent plan that is. You have all been under tremendous strain not knowing if your government was going to descend into a corrupt oligarchy – and, worse than that, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Ann: Well, I never said that.
Richard: No, and it might be of interest to ask him how he feels about the current Christian block that has such specific institutional goals of their own in mind that the means have become irrelevant. But that is for another day.
What you bring to the blog today is a need for rest. I would not be surprised if you and some of your readers have noticed a minor decline or two in health and well-being as your systems let go the defenses that have been so tightly held for the last several months. Such an easing of tension can often allow little gremlins of one sort or another into your space.
So now is not the time to push on, for that just opens the crack wider. Now is the time to rest, renew, and give thanks for the miracles – and that’s what they were - that pulled us out of incipient disaster. Now is the time to give thanks, take care of your nutrition, your connections with those around you, particularly children and animals, and anything else that allows you to step off the political merry-go-round of one breaking news story after the other.
Now is the time to give your attention to other aspects of your life and trust that the universe has governmental matters well in hand. Turn to those endeavours where you can best have a positive effect on yourself and others. Enjoy your rest, knowing always that the next battle looms but that reinforcements have already arrived and that your angels and guides are celebrating with you.
Start up a conversation with them, discuss the everyday matters that concern us all. They would love a little conversation over the back yard fence - so to speak.
