Bringer of Light: Robin Williams

Robin Williams as Dwight D. Eisenhower in The Butler struggles with the decision to send federal troups to enforce the integration of schools in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Ann: Hi Robin, Anita* says you have something for the blog – and that you will not blitzkrieg me - not that I don’t enjoy it, but I just can’t get it down.
Robin: Will try to honor that. I have been following your progress and, yes, that’s what it is in your ongoing journey from unconsciousness and misery to greater consciousness and what seems like more misery. Wouldn’t you think that when Light arrives and illuminates the scene, we should feel better, soul and heart opening to the Divine? I mean, who is this Guy if He’s not making things better?
What we have to understand is that light illuminates everything, the soul’s joy and the soul’s torment, the dark duplicity that had previously been able to hide beneath a rotting carcass, a falling monument, or a slaughtered reputation.
But that is not all. Illumination can inspire us to move toward cleaning up the rubble leveled in the wake of a dark wave, and this is what I want to say to you today. I am not just a pretty face as I said to Anita.* The purpose of my comedy was to shed light, and comedy in that role can be supremely tragic at the outset but not in the offing.
We can use that light to eliminate hatred and greed. And why should we do that? Why should we give of what we have to others? Why should we move to stand between the hopeless and the overbearing? Why do we step out of our comfortable homes?
Because we see the Light, and that light is our Source, our home, and the motivating force which allows us to evolve in accordance with the design of Great Spirit. Yes, the Light reveals the perils of darkness, but that is what allows us to change.
We are in a seminal period now. Dark will use its power to obscure Light. You can always tell because, when truth begins to emerge, it will be met with suppression and lies. Do not despair, for these are the tells that tip us off. Watch and follow the dots one by one. We can see truth arise more plainly because of each and every effort to stuff it down. Just follow the bouncing ball in the life you are living now and put a lid on each of these efforts when they creep in, sometimes as a thief in the night, sometimes as a firebomb thrown by unanticipated events.
That is our job now, expose the darkness with light. And when evolving light is pummeled into another shape and shoved behind a closed door, open that door also. Eternal vigilance is required because darkness is quick and agile. But it is not true. Now is the time to up our game. Call me, I will help you.
