Conversation with Jesus and Mary Magdalene

Updated: Jun 30, 2020

So, after the last post as I am settling into bed sometime after midnight, I thought, Miriam, it’s wonderful that I can hear you, have your words come through my fingers, but it would be great just to be able to see you, talk to you like Anita does with her folks.

What follows happened to me, and it is there for each one of you also.

Miriam: "You can see me, you are now. Aren’t you?"

Ann: Uh, yeah, I can. Wow. You’re beautiful, not tall, kinda round with dark curling hair not too long and some sort of band around your head, nice clothes.

Miriam: Good thing I don’t live in your time where being tall and thin is everything…

Ann: You’re beautiful in any time.

Miriam: Yes, Jesus, and some others I won’t mention, thought so. I was born into privilege and that shows in your health and your appearance. I enjoyed all of that, I liked being admired and then I met Jesus.

Ann: What was he like?

Miriam: Beyond. Just Beyond. There was nothing else that was real beside him. He had a light, not innocence, but light. And he liked to laugh. We had a good time.

Jesus: Yes, we did, didn’t we? Those other guys never had a chance.

(And that’s when I got up and started writing.)

Miriam: See what I mean?

Ann: Yeah, Oh boy. Oh Jeez. (He is standing there with a grin on his face and his arm around her waist, and he is easy on the eyes.)

Jesus: Don’t panic, we have talked before. What’s a little visual added to the mix to scare you? (His voice is to die for.)

Ann: It’s visual. Like Jesus and Miriam right here, like really.

Jesus: So? You were there too. You were a helper, lower class but gifted and smart, and such a hard worker. Now you have a restful life where you don’t have much physical work, you chose it because you were exhausted.

Ann: And I still am much of the time even though I hardly do anything.

Miriam: So give thanks for the time to rest and remember. You and Anita* are given this time to do that and to let others know of the reality of the world we can’t see when we’re in the body. We were friends like I told you in the last post and in several others, not of the same class in that life, but of the same lineage, all of us Essenes.

Ann: Really?

Jesus: Yes, of course, why do you think you can see and hear us? Why do you think you and Anita connect at such a deep level? And you with your tendency to doubt everything have been given, this experience, even though you are friends with Peter who understands the impulse, is hard to deny. We are none of us of this world alone.

Ann: You’re helping us now.

Jesus: Oh yes. A lot of us are. Come on, let’s go have a drink and talk about it. We have much to discuss.

Ann: It's one o'clock in the morning here, hello. What do you want from me?

Jesus: Nothing you’re not willing to give, nothing you haven’t chosen to give. I heard all about your thinking that if you turn in our direction, you will have be crucified like myself or assassinated like your friends Jack and Bobby. What nonsense.

This is just silliness. You live in a completely different time now. Now you might be reviled and ridiculed, and we are working with you so you can build up some calluses to withstand that, but it’s nothing you won’t be able to handle and still have your life of retreat and rest. You have earned that, Anne, partly in this life but also in many others.

You know what it is to work in the fields until you drop. You know what it is to feel a lash on your back and to be treated as so much trash by the men who own you. You know hardship, and I can see that you are afraid of it, afraid that you won’t be able to handle it. But that is why we are here.

Miriam: I would like to see you breathe easily, dear friend of my heart. I would like to see you smile and turn that wicked sense of humor on all you meet, friend and foe alike. Why do you think we all got together in the first place? We are friends to laugh with, no pretension, no secrets, no need to hide our fears, insecurities. and all that goes with being human.

Ann: You have these?

Jesus: Sure, being in a body is the most insecure thing anyone could do, consider where it led me. It wasn’t like I was clamoring to climb up on that cross, you know.

Miriam: And I wasn’t clamoring to live a life of poverty and rootlessness, but after I met him, there was no other life. So I followed the light and nearly lost myself when I lost him. But he knew, he knew where I was, and he came, and in that way I never lost him.

Jesus: You are getting tired and kind of blown out of the water by this little get together but, be honest, Anne, doesn’t it seem familiar?

Ann: Yeah, impossible but familiar.

Jesus: There you go. So take that smile with you off to sleep and know that you are not alone. You can talk to us any time, and you don’t always have to write it down.

Ann: Yes but I’m afraid I will forget it.

Miriam: A friend of the heart remembers in the heart. That is all that is required.
